Port Clinton
Sometimes azure, sometimes periwinkle or even silver. The lake was beautiful. It seemed like a world away. Though it was only a little over an hour away, it was still a great vacation.
Monday I got up, packed and went to Jason’s uncles. Jason loaded and returned the engine lift. We went to his house, where he packed. I watched TV as he packed. A thunderstorm hit us as we went to get his check and cash it. He made his car payment and then we drove to my house in Shelby and up to the lake. We were in a hurry to relax!
The condominium was fair size with two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. There was a living room, kitchen and bathroom downstairs as well. We went to KFC for a late lunch at 4pm. Then we went swimming in the pool. We tried out the Jacuzzi and then back to the condo to celebrate my birthday! 20 years old at last! No longer a teenager!
Jason and I then went back outside. We laid in a chair together and watched the sun set over Lake Eerie. We took an exploratory drive and then went back to the Jacuzzi and then we moved to the pool when everyone came to the pool for a late night dip. We talked and went to bed. We fell asleep on the floor around midnight. Larry, Barb, Steve, Traci and Tyler stopped playing cards around 2am.
Today I got up and got a shower. Larry, Mom, Steve and I talked about spirituality, mental health, religion, etc. Jason got up and got his shower. We ate breakfast that Larry made. Then we made phone calls and found out where to get a Jet Ski or wave runner. We got ready and left. We did the paperwork and got our brief orientation before we hopped onto it. We zipped around the bay. Turns were fun. Jason dumped me and then both of us into the lake. It was fun and we both loved it. Our hour was up so we took it in.
We went back to the Condo and got our stuff and left. I told Jason that it meant a lot to me that he was there with me. He felt comfortable with my family and I’d never had a boyfriend be so much apart of things with me. I am usually lonely at these family gatherings—a little any way. I just wish it could have lasted longer.
